Look! I am updating! It's a New Year's Miracle!!!
After spending SIX HOURS searching my house for my MS Office cd yesterday, I finally gave up and decided to try downloading a copy. Err, I mean, I went out and legally purchased one! Anyway, IT WORKS! I am so VERY happy to be able to update my site again!
Let's see, my last update was ! Since then I have gone to Virginia Beach (photos here), gone to Disney World (report and photos coming soon!), discovered that my half of the house has NO HEAT (am very cold.), turned 23, buried one of my birds (poor Baby, she died on New Year's), got screwed out of $600 by Bank of America, carved a really cute kitty pumpkin, finally bought *one* curtain for my house (the rest of the windows are still covered in sheets, except for the one that's covered by a skirt), ...and I think that's all! Oh, my fridge does contain a few things other than salsa now, so that's something!
I am having college woes. I decided about a week ago that I'd like to take a few online classes from one of the nearby colleges this semester, and cut back working to just a few days a week. I finally decided on Drury College, with SMS as a backup. I applied to Drury online a few days ago (writing that "please write a brief statement outlining your academic goals" is torture!), but haven't heard back yet, probably since they've been out for the holidays until at least today. The semester starts the 13th, so if I'm going to do classes from either one, I need to get things figured out pretty quickly!
I'm trying to start out the new year with a whole big cleaning thing, so I cleaned my car out partially today (it really needs vacuumed!), have been working on cleaning my house (so that I can provide you with new house pictures!), and thought I'd add to the theme by getting my teeth cleaned, but when I called the dentist to find out prices, they want $60! Is it just me, or is that an insane amount of money to pay for someone to strap you to a chair and make your mouth hurt? Maybe I'll just floss a lot, instead.
