January 3, 2005

I have a confession to make:  I really love the stuff in the Pottery Barn Teen catalogs.

It probably started with my semi unhealthy desire to have those stripey silk curtains (of which I am now the proud owner of *one*.  Some day I will be able to afford the other one so that my door will match.)  However, they have so much cute stuff beyond curtains!  Submitted as evidence: These really cute Christmas pillows:

I really like them both, and they're marked down to $9.99 each with free shipping, so I may have to hook myself up.  Or wait till they hit Ebay and obsess like I do about my curtains.  (I also obsess over watching Ebay for my favorite Abercrombie jeans, which they have discontinued.  If you happen to have a pair of A&F Chelsea Flares in size 12 sitting around, could you send them my way, please?)

I love how they show everything together in cute room sets.  I'm also kind of intrigued that this room is done in almost the exact colors of my bedroom and living room walls:

Additionally, I submit this photo as proof that I am not the only person on earth with Mutant Radioactive Frog Green Walls!

I  kind of want to buy this tree garland and use it as a scarf.

I will stop talking about Pottery Barn now, I promise.  Hey, do you think they would give me a free curtain for all that free advertising they just got?...

On a whole other topic, work today SUCKED because it was unbelievably foggy.  For most of the day, I could only see about 10 feet in front of my car, and then coming home tonight, the half hour trip took nearly an hour because I had to drive so slowly.  Just to share my pain, I will provide you with the following high-quality illustration of what my day looked like:

See my hands on the steering wheel?  I told you this was high quality artwork.  That greyish shape with red dots is the car in front of me.  If you stare at this image for five hours, voila, you have my day today.  As a matter of fact, I challenge you to stare at if for more than a minute without falling asleep!  The fog has a hypnotizing effect, and if it weren't for SBux Frappuccino, I probably wouldn't have stayed awake all day!

I got up bright and early today (well, not really *bright*, given the crappy weather...), and decided that I felt like crap and didn't want to go anywhere, so I skipped dance class.  However, I couldn't fall back asleep, so I did productive things like opening a new bank account (Yay!) and having my old high school fax my transcript to the college I applied to (Who, may I add, has NOT responded to the email I sent them 15 hours ago about getting out of the English comp class yet!  Meanies!)

I was going to post my first few house cleaning photos, as well as my big Year In Review thing in this post, but it's 2am, so um... no.
