So, most of the time I just drift through life, in a Crystalish state of happy go luckyness, pretty good with the status quo. That is me a good 85% of the time. And then, once in a while, I'm hit with the WHAM of wanting to move on. I get that whole "want to be married and have a family" thing in my head, and it drives me nuts. Not that being single and spending my days knitting and watching the same movies over and over isn't awesome, because it is. And not that I don't like having a lot of time to myself, because I do! But sometimes I'm just ready to give that up.
Today's most recent WHAM was inspired by Sundry's latest post. Also by seeing pictures on getcrafty of all the cute stuff people sew for their kids. One of my sisters needs to live closer for times like this, so that I can just borrow their kids for a couple of hours and remember that I like peace and making soap. I like getting to be selfish in a way that you never can after you have kids. I like sleeping late. But still, arrrgh, I'm so ready to turn all that in sometimes.
My newest addiction is watching the BBC World News at 5am. I've gotten so invested in the Pope's health, and the rugby playoffs, and all of the great world news stuff that you never hear about on US news.
Little boy of about 5 years old overheard at the library: "When *I* get a wooden tooth..." (Said as if this is something that happens in every little boy's life, and he's just killing time until then. I wish I had heard the rest!)
Came across this tattoo during my usual random web surfing. (I insist that you check it out!) Does it get any cooler than Van Gogh on a stary night background? If Van Gogh were still alive, and was a tattoo artist, I would get him to tattoo Starry Night on me somewhere. The tattoo I linked to is done by Anil Gupta, whose portfolio you should look at, because it's just amazing! I think that the Nature section is my favorite- the monkey rules!
I have that website redesigning bug, too. I can not believe that I've been posting here at lmt.net for nearly two years without redesigning! For a girl who can't even keep a hair color more than a couple of months, that's amazing. I have a couple of design ideas in mind, a few ideas of what colors I want to use, but I haven't managed to get up the strength to wrestle with CSS until it does my bidding.
I was reading bluishorange's 5 year anniversary post earlier today, and realized that in September of this year, I'll be hitting 5 years of online journaling, too! Crazy!
Remember when I swore that if I set foot in a craft store again before the end of the month, a sheep could fall on my head? Well, I totally screwed that up on Tuesday, and no sheep yet. Whew! I got more yarn (see below) and some more marble magnet making supplies.

I'm so obsessed with this yarn right now! Each color is named after a kind of bird- there's a chart of colors here. I might return the Toucan color, because it just isn't as pretty as I expected once you start knitting with it. If only that awful neon yellow-green color weren't in there, it would be awesome.
And now, just because I haven't done it in a while, here is a list of things people have searched for recently that wound up in them coming here.
