Victory at last! After a whole lot of emails back and forth with my host's tech support, I finally have my page working on my computer again! You have no idea how annoying it was not to be able to see the photos in my post as I was typing them! Evil! Plus, my site works with my FTP program again! No more having to upload everything through cpanel! Oh, there is so much rejoicing!
Look at this, the last day of February! This makes me so very happy, because that means tomorrow is March, which is practically Spring! Oh, Spring, I have missed you so! Please hurry back! I wish I could be one of those people who delights in winter- the kind who love crisp cool air, are enchanted by snow, and think there's nothing greater than needing six sweaters and a cup of hot chocolate to stay warm. Life must be a lot easier for them than it is for my people, who glare accusingly at the grey winter sky until it goes away. Winter is a mean season. It steals all of the colors from outside until everything is grey. In fact, Winter is a lot like the villians from Rainbow Brite. Remember them? They rode around trying to suck the color out of the world, just like Winter sucks the blue out of the sky and replaces it with grey- sucks the green out of the leaves and grass and replaces it with brown. Winter now has a face in my book:

So, are you ready for a big dose of irony? I just walked into the kitchen to get coffee, and as I turned the corner to go into my living room, I saw... HUGE snowflakes coming down outside! It's snowing like CRAZY! It has only snowed like twice ALL winter! I wish I could find a blank tape for my video camera, because I would love to upload an mpeg of these big-ass snowflakes, but I have no idea where my blank ones are. Of course, that doesn't mean that I could resist sticking my camera out the door (I wasn't going outside, it was COLD out there!) to take some pictures of the snow. This is the only one where you can actually get an idea of how massive the flakes were:

I should really be working on my post about the possible secession of Quebec for my geography class right now, but I'm just feeling too lazy. Quebec is at least a step up in the scale of interesting from nafta, but still pretty boring. Plus, there is practically NO info about it on the net, since the majority of the drama took place ten years ago. Let's study something more current! Please!
I finished a new scarf last night, and a purse a few days ago, but I'll spare you pictures for now. I do, however, have a snazzy new knitting page, where I'll post all of my finished stuff from now on, instead of making those of you who could care less about crafty things marvel over how cool all my new yarn is. You're welcome!
