My house is a big-ass mess right now, which drives me crazy, because I just got it really clean a few days ago.  See, the thing is, I was born into a family of incredible packrats.  Because of this, we have three of those big storage buildings full of our junk back in Branson.  We stuck pretty much everything we owned in storage when we went to Arizona ten years ago, and never really got around to taking most of it back out.  So, we now have boxes and boxes (and boxes!) of stuff that needs to be gone through, but that we keep ignoring.  Now, however, we live in a snazzy big house with plenty of room to store stuff in, and also have a shed that we just had built in the back yard for the express purpose of storing our junk in.  So, we're going through all the junk in storage, deciding what to sell, what to throw away (ewww, moldy stuff.), and what to stick into the new storage space, so that it can continue to collect dust.  (We really suck at parting with things.)  Anyway, getting back to my point, there are currently six HUGE boxes of stuff sitting in my living room, plus a big plastic box full of yard sale stuff.  They take up more than 1/2 of my floor space, which drives me nuts!  Must get through stuff as quickly as posisble.  Do, however, expect upcoming photos of the really cool stuff I've come across, as soon as I get new batteries for my camera.

Remember not that long ago when we were looking to buy a new bird?  Well, a few days ago, my mom is telling me about what she did that day, and at the end, she randomly adds on "Oh, and I bought a cockatiel."  A quick glance around the house confirmed my suspicion that there was no new bird in the house.  I may be a little slow to notice things around here sometimes, but I haven't yet hit that level of being off in my own world.

Aforementioned "in my own worldness" could today be attributed to my superfunky sleep schedule.  Yes, it's been screwy ever since I quit work, but today was award winning.  I fell asleep around 1am last night, and then woke up at 2:45am.  I couldn't fall back asleep, and had to leave here for Springfield by 9:15, so I just stayed up.  And up, and up.  I was surprisingly energetic for being so sleep deprived (Thanks, Starbucks!).  I finally took a nap from 5-7, and it's now 11:10pm, and I'm doing quite well.  I'm hoping I'll fall asleep at 1 or 2, and finally be back to sleeping normal human hours.

In other news, I want to twirl fire batons when I grow up.  Kelly says I can.

And did I mention that it's Spring?  SPRING!  Despite my general discontent with Spring's tempermental weather, I love it for it's newness, it's renewed sense of hope.  (And also it's cute Spring shoes.) Hooray for Spring!

Comments and llamas make me happy.
