Straight On Till Morning: Every Day In May!

Oh so sleepy! I was supposed to work from 12-8 today, but I ended up staying till 9:30, because we had a big group of Girl Scouts who were supposed to be checking in today that still hadn't shown up, and I didn't want the other girl to have to deal with it alone when a ton came in at once. I am SO ready to have Sunday off, I just have to get through Saturday! Amazingly, nothing all that interesting happened today. We watched Oprah, and MTV's True Life, and waited for people to show up

My new camera came today! It is pretty similar to the old, just a few small differences. It's a little bigger, so it feels funny in my hand since I'm so used to the old. The only problem is that the manual is in French! Luckily I found an English version online. It's such a cute little camera!

I love that it takes video clips, too, for when I'm just too lazy to have my video camera, but really want to catch a few seconds of something. The thing I *don't* like is that if I flip the lens half back to face me (The two halves twist around so you can take pictures of things behind you, yourself, etc), the image flips upside down on the LCD! On my old one, I could take a picture of myself and still have the image right side up on the LCD. Hopefully there's a way to set this in the settings? I can do right side up ones if I turn it sideways (ie portrait vs. landscape, in printer terms), but who wants to always have to do that? I really hope I can change that setting, because it almost makes me want to resell this one and go back to the old model. Just, you know, one that works. I also dig that the batteries on this new one are rechargable- the old one used AA's, and I went through about eight zillion. The very best part, though, is that I can take pictures again! I shall now celebrate that fact with these that I just snapped of Lula!
