Today has been a nice lazy day- I've been trying to internet it up, because I'm supposed to go to my sister's house tomorrow (Monday) afternoon, and stay till Weds to babysit her kids while she works those nights.  (This being the sister who lost her husband two weeks ago.)  I've gotten into such a good groove at home this past week- tons of cleaning, lots of creative endeavors, eating well, taking care of myself, etc. that I hate to break the cycle, but family obligations come first.  I'm honestly not thrilled at the idea of spending two days there with no internet, but I want to help her out however I can.  I felt so bad for her, because she was saying that all of these people say "Oh, let me know if I can do anything for you!" at the funeral, but then when you actually call on them to help, they aren't available.  I do NOT want to be one of those people!   I love spending time with the kids, but they are *exhausting*.  Apparently I'm old and set in my ways or something, because those two totally wear me out in no time- I hope I survive two days!  Note to self- pack things to amuse kids with!!!

I spent some time today going through my vacation videos- I've had a grand plan to make a nifty compilation video, but I'm not sure I shot enough for it to work.  It took me a couple of hours just to go through what I have, and pick out what's good.  I would never have the patience to be an editor on a movie!  A few minutes of sticking vacation videos together takes me hours and hours!  I think that if I throw in some photos to fill in for the lack of video, it may turn out pretty good, though.  See, that is the beauty of photography vs. videography!  I can snap a great photo, and boom!  Voila!  It's done!  Putting together videos takes way more work!  I am too lazy!

In travel-type news, there may be two trips on the horizon this year!  As I may have mentioned, I've decided to do WDW again in October, for what is now being called "Disneyween".  All that's been decided is that my costume will be a pirate, and halloween must be spent at the Adventurers Club!  The fabulous miss Kellylou may even join in the festivities!  Such fun would be had!

The other trip is a possible Kentucky Derby "HSC Reunion"- a reunion or sorts for a group of friends that I've known since we were... what, 13?  We were young, anyway!  Of the group, I see Katie the most frequently (on a somewhat yearly basis)- I haven't seen any of the others in ages!  I can only imagine what fun this one would be!

No updates on the phone saga yet.  Still hoping to hear back from United- I want my phone back so much!  Cingular still lists it on their website, so maybe I could at least get the exact same one?  I haaaate this one that I bought with the fire of a thousand suns!  Must exchange it ASAP!

And now I'm off to pack for my 2 day journey.  Eep!  Feel free to call/text me in attempts to preserve my sanity!
