There is a new project on the X Postcard X boards where you can request lists of things, and people mail them to you.  My favorite one was the person who asked for a list of 25 places you want to visit in your life.  I mailed my list off a week or so ago, but I wanted to share it here, too. 

25 Places to Visit

(In no particular order)

1. London- I'm not sure why, but even the word London is magical to me.  I think I'd like to live there for a few months.

2.  Tanzania- I would love to go on safari to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.  I love elephants, zebras, and giraffes- it would be amazing to see them in the wild.

3. New Zeland-It would be fun to see the locations where Lord of the Rings was filmed.  Also to see the glowworms in Waitomo Caves & other touristy stuff.

4.  Disneyland- I'm a big Disney World nerd, but I feel like I should eventually make the pilgramage to the original.

5.  The Grand Canyon- I'd love to photograph it as the light changes through the day.

6. Elephant Nature Park in Thailand- They rescue abused elephants and give them a real life.  (I've sponsored one for a year!)

7. Paris- I want to sit at a sidewalk cafe with bread and cheese and people watch.

8.  Rome- So much history, right there to touch.  Although all of the stories about crime there scare me a little.

9. Key West- to see the famous sunsets and Hemmingway's six-toed cats.

10. India- It seems like everyone who goes there is changed somehow.

11. Canada- Just because it is so close to the US, it seems silly to have never been.

12. Hawaii- I'm a sunshine, ocean, island kind of girl.  I could probably live here for a while, too, although being so far away from everything would be rather odd.

13.  Ireland- My grandmother was Irish.  I'd like to spend St Patrick's Day in Dulin once.

14. Nepal- Such an amazing place, it has a certain spiritual sense to it.  Plus, getting to see Everest.

15.  Tokyo- to see the crazyness, and buy t-shirts with badly translated English phrases printed on them.

16. Istanbul (Not Constantinople.) I want to see the blue mosque, and watch the whirling dervishes, and hear the calls to prayer.

17. Venice- I love the idea of a whole city with no cars.  How fun to get everywhere by canal!

18. Australia- I'd especially like to visit Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo!

19. China- I'd like to walk on the Great Wall, and see the Forbidden City & the terra cotta soldiers.

20. Panama Canal- I want to sail through it someday, just to say I did.

21. Morocco- I want to go to Fez, Marrakech, and Casablanca.

22. Switzerland- I'll sit around eating chocolate and cheese, and being very neutral.  Maybe I'll buy a watch and an army knife! :)

23.  NYC- See the Statue of Liberty, a play on Broadway, and where the WTC towers stood.

24. Scotland- Lots of nifty castles & history, a chance to look for Nessie, and the distinct possibility of men in kilts.

25.  Anywhere in the Amazon.  Or any rainforest, really, I'm not picky!
